JEROME - A man who was shot in front of a Jerome house was listed in serious condition Friday afternoon.

Police are searching for the person gunned down 32-year-old Antonio Fregoso of Jerome Thursday night.

Jerome Police Chief Dan Hall said police received a report of shots fired near 10th Avenue East and Buchanan Street just after 11 p.m.

Officers arrived to find that someone had opened fire several times outside a home, hitting Fregoso. Two other people were also outside the home when the shooting happened, but police say they were not hit.

Fregoso was taken by ambulance to Saint Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls with serious injuries. Hall did not release where on his body Fregoso was shot.

No one has been arrested in the aftermath of the shooting, and Hall declined to say if police are looking for a specific suspect. He did say police are following up on several leads.

Police do not believe the shooting was done at random.

Anyone with information about the shooting or any suspects is urged to call Jerome Police at 324-4328 or dispatch at 324-1911.
